As a Residential Youth Support Worker in our children's homes, you will be a key part of a close-knit team committed to providing stability, guidance, and support for vulnerable young people. Your role will be to empower them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a trauma-informed setting.
What You'll Do:
+ Build positive, nurturing relationships with young people, helping them navigate complex emotions and behaviours.
+ Assist with daily routines, medication administration, and ensure the well-being of each young person.
+ Organize and participate in recreational activities that foster a supportive atmosphere and promote healing.
+ Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and the best outcomes for the young people you support.
+ A Passion for Helping Others: Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
+ Experience and Dedication: Previous experience providing emotional and behavioural support is highly desirable, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
+ Flexibility and Resilience: The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the home.
+ Qualifications: A willingness to work towards or a current qualification in QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
Salary: £25,798 - £26,331 per annum (base salary). With an earning potential of £29,515.12 - £30,048.12 (inclusive of on average 1 sleep in per week & your attendance allowance of £1,400 per annum).
Shift Pattern: Earlies/Late/Long days and sleep-ins on a rotational schedule

All successful candidates will undergo a vetting process, including right to work checks, Enhanced DBS Check, and reference checks. Due to Ofsted regulations, you must be at least 21 years old if the oldest young person in the home is turning 18. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor visa applications.
Pay Explained: £25,798.00-£29,515.00 per year (unqualified) & £26,331.00 - £30,048.00 (qualified).
