About Us:

You'll make the plans that keep our vital services running.

In Kensington and Chelsea, our approach prioritises residents and businesses in decision-making processes, partnering with them to deliver high-quality services that are responsive, effective, and efficient. Following the Grenfell tragedy, we have greatly improved our emergency planning procedures within the council and through partnerships with various agencies, and we are strongly committed to continuous improvement. Our Resilience Team is working closely with staff, partners, and communities to help build their resilience and ensure that clear and effective emergency response plans are established.

The Role:

The Resilience Advisor (Business Continuity) will lead on the design, implementation and review of the organisation's business continuity programme. Your work will be crucial in ensuring that business continuity arrangements are continually fit for purpose, embedded, and in line with both risk appetite and legislative requirements. Collaboration will be an integral part of your role, working with key business areas and external partners to strengthen resilience. At the same time, you will be expected to work autonomously, setting your own priorities and managing projects from start to finish. From conducting Business Impact Analyses, to training and advising others, you'll ensure we have robust arrangements to enable the continuity of vital business functions during periods of disruption.
