Full Job Description

This role can be worked flexibly from our Ipswich or Leeds offices with a mix of office (minimum 3 days per week) and homebased working with the option to adjust start / finish times. This opportunity would suit someone who has had a blend of in-house recruitment and agency experience. Whilst it would be helpful to have a background in engineering recruitment, we welcome applications from candidates who are just as passionate as we are about delivering a great recruitment experience. What does the role involve? As one of our Resourcing Partners, you will partner with our business areas, to develop and execute bespoke recruitment strategies, and manage the identification and selection of high potential external talent. You will act as a recruitment advisor to multiple stakeholders whilst managing the full lifecycle recruitment across your business areas, from initial role briefing and candidate identification through to assessment and offer. As part of the Resourcing & Inclusion team you will also have the opportunity to be involved in our work on Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing and Early Careers. Key responsibilities will include :

  • Writing and promoting engaging internal and external job adverts based on a role briefing.
  • Directly sourcing candidates using a range of methods and tools, building a shortlist of candidates to present to the hiring manager.
  • Effectively telephone interviewing prospective candidates and clearly articulating recommendations to Hiring Managers.
  • Providing a positive candidate experience to all candidates, at each stage of their application process.
  • Supporting hiring managers through the whole recruitment lifecycle.
  • Ensuring systems and data are accurately kept up to date.
  • To be successful in this role :
  • You'll be passionate about talent acquisition and ensuring that candidate experience is at the forefront of everything we do.
  • You'll be experienced in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as being able to source and engage an active talent pipeline., Sweco UK&I have an internal resourcing team who are responsible for all recruiting activity. We have a Preferred Supplier List of trusted agencies who we work with on those hard to fill roles.
  • We have defined processes for recruitment applications and it is company policy not to accept speculative CVs. Any speculative CVs received into the business (whether to a manager or member of the resourcing team) will become the property of Sweco and the agency will not be eligible for an introductory fee. Our Preferred Supplier List was reviewed in December 2023 and we are not looking to add any additional agencies. We'll be reviewing the PSL again at the end of 2024 and non-compliance with the above statements could be detrimental to you having the opportunity to be included. Our Talent Community for experienced professionals is a great way to keep up to date with our latest news, insights, future vacancies, as well as gaining access to exclusive events hosted by our experts.

  • You'll have prior recruitment experience and be used to working in a fast paced environment on multiple roles.
  • You'll have experience of using an applicant tracking system as well as LinkedIn recruiter to source candidates.
  • If you believe you have the skill set required, are keen to join a business with genuine opportunities for career progression, then we'd love to hear from you.
