Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our friendly service for a highly motivated enthusiastic nurse or physiotherapist looking to develop their respiratory skills during a 12 month secondment.

The post is full-time; however, part time hours may be considered.

The role will be working primarily within the North and Mid Hampshire area providing high quality care to a range of respiratory patients. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team supported by a locality team lead and accountable to the service lead.

The service provides Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Oxygen assessment and review, Admission Avoidance & Supported Discharge. We work with community services and networking is important. The successful candidate will primarily work within Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Oxygen Assessment whilst having an understanding of the other elements of the service.

Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of 6 months post graduate experience. As a service we are committed to teaching and the development of our staff is paramount. All staff will be expected to embrace the opportunities to learn and develop skills and knowledge to further their careers in respiratory care. During the year you will have the opportunity to obtain a qualification in capillary blood gas sampling through an accredited program.

Applicants need to be enthusiastic, motivated and be able to motivate others. They will have excellent communication skills with patients, families and health care professionals. They will be committed to excellence in the workplace.

A car driver is essential as the post will involve travelling across the region.
