Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic physiologist to join our team in Respiratory Physiology at North Bristol Lung Centre.,

  • To work as part of the Respiratory Physiology team to provide high quality respiratory diagnostics to both outpatients and inpatients from across North Bristol NHS Trust.

  • Maintain accurate records in relation to the clinical and diagnostic activity.

  • Perform regular calibration and quality control of equipment and report faults promptly.

  • Contribute to the provision of a good learning environment by supporting/mentoring trainee Healthcare Scientists in their learning.

  • Contribute to departmental research and audit where appropriate.

    The ideal applicant will have a BSc Heathcare Science (Respiratory & Sleep) or equivalent qualification and have successfully completed ARTP Practitioner qualification or have equivalent experience in a respiratory department. You should be registered or actively seeking registration on the AHCS voluntary register., Applications from candidates with a relevant degree in a science subject will be considered. If successful, there would be a potential for enrolment on the Graduate Diploma in Respiratory Science (https://nshcs.hee.nhs.uk/programmes/respiratory-and-sleep-training-programmes/about-the-graduate-diploma-respiratory-science/) to enable the candidate to gain the knowledge and skills needed to fully fulfil the requirements of the role.
