Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our developing service for a highly motivated enthusiastic Nurse looking to develop their respiratory skills. Part time hours may be considered. The role will be working primarily within the New Forest area providing high quality care to a range of respiratory patients. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team supported by a locality team lead and accountable to the service lead. The service provides Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR), Oxygen assessment and review, Admission Avoidance & Supported Discharge. Local integration with community services, secondary and primary care is an important element of the role. The successful candidate will primarily work within Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Oxygen Assessment whilst having an understanding of the other elements of the service. Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of 6 months post graduate experience, however, applications from newly qualified staff who have a passion and desire to develop respiratory skills will be considered. As a service we are committed to teaching and the development of our staff is paramount. All staff will be expected to embrace the opportunities to learn and develop skills and knowledge to further their careers in respiratory care. If you are shortlisted, we will ask you to deliver a 10-minute presentation on 'A respiratory Case Study'.Main duties of the job To work as an Autonomous Practitioner within the respiratory team, accepting referrals, providing comprehensive expert assessment and delivering care to individuals and groups of patients with respiratory conditions. To provide a service within localities across North and West Hampshire covering Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Oxygen Assessment. To enhance the patients, care pathway by working with, respiratory consultants, community teams and other specialist services. To develop your respiratory skills and knowledge through evidence-based competencies, support, teaching and guidance.
