Full Job Description

We are looking for a Respiratory Sleep Services Administrator to effectively manage the day to day administration needs of the Respiratory sleep services team.
You will support the clinical nursing team with regard to clinic delivery including explaining equipment storage, maintenance and cleaning and minor trouble shooting.
You will have experience in setting up and supporting sleep clinics and CPAP clinics and experience in dealing with members of the public.
This will be based over 2 locations
West Swindon health Centre ( Community Diagnostic Centre CDC and Moredon Medical Centre and occasionally at GWH, + Manage and review sleep administrative systems and processes to ensure best use of resources and efficient running of department within the Great Western Hospital.
+ Manage telephone enquiries including appointment queries and with regard to equipment issue and management.
+ Support patients chasing results and next steps.
+ Act as the conduit between patients and the clinical teams
+ Liaise with internal departments and wards.
+ Liaise with GP surgeries.
+ Booking of Inpatient requests, delivering prescribed equipment to the wards and then demonstrating how to effectively use the equipment.
+ Adding and building Clinic Templates on Careflow

+ Triage of sleep referrals against stipulated acceptance criteria
+ Review and transfer sleep requests from the sleep services referral email and then transfer onto wait list on CVIS (Electronic wait list and image archive system)
+ Manage the Sleep service wait list on CVIS (rolling cohort of 350 patients)
+ Daily review of the wait list and book appointments against clinical priority and then chronologically
+ Book ventilation and new patient sleep clinics
+ Book greyflash home study clinics
+ Book CPAP issue and fitting appointments
+ Monthly validation of the DMO1 breach list in support the Trusts n national submission of DMO1 position
+ Managing internal referrals
+ Meeting patients arriving for a clinic appointment
+ Supporting the clinical team during clinic with regard to any additional administrative tasks that need to be organised

Candidates are responsible for covering the cost of their own DBS check if required: £18 for a Standard DBS check, recoverable from the first pay, or £38 for an Enhanced DBS check, divided and recoverable over the initial two pay periods. Payment for DBS checks for bank posts must be settled prior to commencement. Apprentices are exempt from DBS payment.
