Join us as we take flight!, Collins Aerospace is looking for Non Destructive Testing (NDT) L3 FPI & X-Ray who will work within the Quality organisation to develop and continuously improve NDT and joining processes. As a member of the Quality Special Process team, you will perform in-house NDT audits, provide technical oversite and drive process improvements within the NDT and operational joining processes. Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain the NDT - FPI & X-Ray customer and NADCAP accreditations
  • Responsible for leading internal audits and facilitating 2nd and 3rd Party audits
  • Manage and support the implementation of robust corrective and preventative actions
  • Develop and approve NDT techniques / data cards
  • Develop and maintain NDT personnel training and qualifications to ensure the necessary skills are available to support the organisation
  • Support Quality Clinic and investigations to ensure Right First Time NDT is achieved as a result of controlled welding and assembly processes
  • Provide guidance and data driven feedback to operational areas to continuously improve the joining processes
  • Maintain and control all aspects of NDT equipment and calibration requirements
  • Ownership of the relevant Internal NDT specifications. Review and maintain to ensure continued compliance to customer and regulatory requirements
  • Continued support for production NDT activities

  • Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow instruction
  • Excels in teamwork, and is able to work confidently as an individual
  • NDT Level III certification to EN4179
  • Responsible Level III ASNT Level III in FPI & X-Ray
  • Approved Supplier Level III e.g. Rolls Royce / Pratt & Whitney in FPI - Must be achieved with 12 months
  • Extensive knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and can demonstrate expertise in Aerospace systems, products and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, colleagues and external contacts at all levels.
