Retail / Farm Shop Supervisor

As a Retail Supervisor, primarily based in one of our three shops, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Retail Operations Manager. Your primary focus will be to ensure that our teams deliver outstanding customer service while keeping our shelves well-stocked and our displays exquisitely maintained. In addition to prioritising customer service, you will assist with retail budgeting , inventory management , and stock ordering . You will also assist with training your team , ensure the rotas are published in a timely manner and ensure that the shop adheres to our safety policies, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.

• Previous high-end retail or hospitality experience
• Experince with retail processess such as wastage reporting, stock control and rotating and orderi
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Assertiveness in implementing necessary corrective actions
• Robust understanding of product processes and commercial awareness
• A love of food and drink and / or high-end living

The Farm Shop specialises in the sales of our own products with a particular focus on cyder, cheese, and bakery items. We also have a walk-in cheese room with the finest British cheeses, a butchery counter with its own Himalayan pink salt wall for ageing meats, and freshly harvested vegetables from our fields. Our House & Garden Shop boasts produce a wide selection of fine living items from our own scented range, to a wide range of products sourced from local artisan suppliers as well as our friends in Babylonstoren and Vignamaggio. The Creamery, our newest opening at Castle Cary train station, offers a 'best of both worlds' experience, specialising in the sale of our own Farm Shop products with a few special items from our House and Garden range.
