Retail Manager

As our Retail Manager at Trengwainton Garden, you'll play an important part in helping people enjoy their day. And you'll be generating crucial funds for the National Trust to invest in protecting and caring for places, so people and nature can thrive. Hours: Working 1470 hours per year, Contract will be working Sunday to Thursday. Property is closed Friday and Saturday and also between November to February (excluding a week for winter lights). This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments. Salary: £18,470 per annum Duration: Permanent Vacancy Provisional Interview Date: Week Commencing 30/9/2024 What it's like to work here Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll be leading a small team of 2 retail assistants and 3 retail volunteers. You'll be part of the leadership team at Trengwainton, and will work closely with the General Manager and the wider team, actively involved in making decisions that affect the whole place. You'll lead your team from the front, encouraging them to speak to people and listen to what they want. You'll set stretching targets for the team, and work together to achieve these through the highest standards of customer service and presentation of retail products.
