Full Job Description
Pilgrims Hospices is looking for a full-time Retail Manager to join the team in our Chartham Furniture Shop, helping to co-ordinate the effective operation and management retail staff and volunteers, as well as the day-to-day service of the shop., The Retail Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the shops, to include:
- Meeting and exceeding financial targets
- Ensuring the shop is suitably staffed by either paid staff or volunteers to maximise trading
- Maintaining effective stock management and merchandising
- Picking and sorting or ordering stock when required from our central distribution site
- Managing and training volunteers
- Carrying out shop administration
- Ensuring adequate security and ensuring cash handling policies are followed
- Enforcing health and safety policy and procedures
- Implementing and ensuring the growth or our Gift Aid scheme The post holder must ensure that services are provided to a high standard. This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week). The role is based at Pilgrims Hospices' Chartham Shop.
