The ExtraCare Charitable Trust have an exciting opportunity to join our Retail Team in a newly created role that will support the delivery of our new 2024/27 strategy
As our Retail Operations and Project Manager you will explore, develop and implement new and exciting initiatives to support and shape the future retail operation. You will work collaboratively with the Retail and wider ExtraCare Charitable Trust teams to identify opportunities and oversee any new business opportunities in line with the retail strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Retail Operations and Project Manager to support Retail's commitment in contributing to ExtraCare's mission of "better lives for older people"., ExtraCare does not participate in the current "UK Visa Sponsorship" scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship.
Main responsibilities:
+ Full line management responsibility for the Retail Operations team leading the retail administrative and gift aid functions
+ Own the retail operating model and challenge existing ways of working, processes, policies and procedures to ensure the most effective and efficient are agreed for retail.
+ Engage, challenge and influence stakeholders across the business to ensure that new or updated operational projects, processes, activity and initiatives are planned and delivered at the right time with the appropriate communication and guidance to ensure excellent in store execution
+ To support the Retail Director to develop and deliver the retail communication strategy, to ensure that communication methods are clear and simple and effectively engage retail.
+ Represent Retail Operations in weekly meetings to agree any activity and identify potential risks/opportunities to store operations and agreed activity
+ Take responsibility of the bought in goods and online sales strategies, driving income and opportunity
+ Conduct regular and timely evaluations on our processes to ensure continuous improvement and learning
+ Measure and objectively feedback on progress before, during and following execution of projects against the retail strategy
+ Support in the delivery of the Retail Strategy, through effective management of future requirements, ways of working and innovative solutions, ensuring it aligns and enables the business plans.

Our ideal Retail Operations and Project Manager:
+ Candidate must have a UK driving licence and access to a car, travel expenses will be paid.

+ Excellent knowledge of the retail sector, strong commercial awareness and customer focus
+ Experience of working in a retail head office environment, ideally within Retail Operations
+ Knowledge and understanding of working in a retail store environment
+ Experience in the creation and delivery of internal communications across multiple communication channels
+ An attitude and ability to provide solutions
+ Always seeking continuous improvement
+ Proven track record of effective delivery of projects
+ The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Customer focussed (both internal & external) commercial attitude
+ Ability to work with key business stakeholders at all levels.
+ High focus on business profitability
+ Can drive change through being a skilled influencer
+ Emotionally intelligent and able to flex approach and influencing style
