Full Job Description

A vacancy has now arisen for a Returns, Planning & Insight Manager, to lead the work of the Division in delivering insight in our education and training activities, and to lead for the Division and Trust in preparing statutory student returns via our validating partner institution.

  • Responsible for delivery of regulatory reporting to our University Partners/ Office for Students (OfS), such as HESA and HESES.
  • Line-manage the Statutory Returns, Planning & Insight team.
  • Specify requirements, manage and build a suite of validation and exception reports, using SQL and Power BI, which will ensure that data quality is optimal at key points during the academic year.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of forthcoming changes in statutory reporting, attending and participating in sector events as required. The post holder will advise how best to implement statutory reporting requirements as they change.
  • Working with the Director of Education (Operations), Head of Academic Registry, and the Finance Manager, communicate change requirements by developing and facilitating training and workshops.
  • You will join a dedicated and dynamic team based in Belsize Park (Hampstead) in north-west London. Our hybrid working model allows for flexibility, with 2-3 days per week in the office. We are committed to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and work together to manage all aspects of the student journey, from enrolment to graduation. Our team operates on a portfolio basis, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.
