WT&E -South EastRegion, Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PGMDE) Teamis responsible forthe planning, development, education, and training of the healthcare and public health workforce across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Dorset, Isle of Wight, and Salisbury. We also provide medical training for the States of Jersey for doctors in Foundation and General Practice.

We are currently recruitingaRevalidation & Accreditation Officer.

The post holder will support the Revalidation & Accreditation Manager in the provision of a wide range of operational functions to ensure the smooth running of assessment and revalidation across the local offices in theSouth East.

    Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

    The post holder will support the day-to-day activities ofrevalidating postgraduate medical trainee doctors on behalf of the ResponsibleOfficer (RO). This includesmaintainingexcellent records; andensuring accuracy andtimelyactivity.

    The post holder will coordinate assessment activity across a number ofeducation programmes as well as supporting the Education Programme Managers ensuringappropriate governanceis in place.

    The post holder will produce various reports, data, and information as required byNHSEand the GMC andparticipatein local andregional meetings. The post holder will alsobe requiredto set up meetings and to assistsetting agendas and minute those meetings.

    The post holder will support the implementation of local andnational guidance and policy on assessment and revalidation in the local office.

    It is expected there will be frequent liaison with internal andexternal Stakeholders.

    In addition, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the multi-professional nature of the business of NHSE acrosstheSouth Eastregion and supportregion widePGMDE activities.
