The team develop and implement annual pay awards, develop pay policies, undertake Ad Hoc pay projects and advise on complex pay cases. ICS is a new way of doing things in Government and this is an exciting time to join ICS as the role and value ICS plays grows and develops., We are seeking two Pay and Reward Business Partners to work in ICS and act as the key conduit between ICS and their client Departments (DESNZ & DSIT), providing expert advice and support, and leading on key projects. The successful candidates will play a critical role in managing the relationship and ensuring ICS are aligned with the Department in the best possible way to help them deliver their business objectives. In addition, the successful candidates will support the ICS Reward Team as required, for example providing analyst support when developing a pay award.
- Lead on the relationship between ICS and your Department's Reward Lead, adopting a partnership approach to understand their needs and deliver tailored reward solutions.
- Act as an escalation point for your Department's pay team, providing expert advice that follows the Department's policies, manages risk appropriately, and is in line with Treasury or other public sector frameworks.
- Lead on Ad Hoc projects such as developing, implementing, and managing new pay policies and procedures, or conducting bespoke benchmarking and market analysis.
- Analyse and report on pay data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
- Review opportunities to improve the broader reward package for staff in the Department.
- Work flexibly as part of the ICS Reward Team to support on high priority projects.
- Remain informed on public and private sector trends and best practices in compensation and benefits., As part of the application process you will be asked to complete a CV, personal statement and behavioural statements.

The Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) is a new shared corporate service, launched in July 2023. It provides corporate services (HR, Finance, Digital, Commercial, Security and Estates) across the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT).

Office attendance
The Department operates a discretionary hybrid working policy, which provides for a combination of working hours from your place of work and from your home in the UK. The current expectation for staff is to attend the office or non-home based location for 40-60% of the time over the accounting period.
