Full Job Description

The Reward and Pension Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's reward and pension schemes, aligned to our long term reward strategy. This role ensures that the company's reward and benefits packages are competitive, fair, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives, also ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.,

  • Support the Head of Reward in the preparation of Remuneration Committee papers and supporting information.

  • Keeping up to date on executive remuneration trends in the market

  • Pension Management:


  • + Oversee the administration of the company's pension schemes.
    + Ensure compliance with pension regulations and legislation.
    + Liaise with pension providers and advisors to manage pension plans effectively.
    Reward Strategy:

  • Support the development and implementation of reward strategies that support the company's strategic priorities and long term vision.

  • Oversee regular market analysis to ensure the company's reward packages remain competitive and equitable.

  • Design and manage incentive schemes, including bonuses and commission structures.


  • Compensation Management:
  • Oversee the annual salary and bonus review process, partnering with the HRBP team to deliver a clear process.

  • Develop and maintain job evaluation and levelling systems to support the job architecture.

  • Provide guidance on salary benchmarking and pay structures.


  • Benefits Administration:
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, and other benefits.

  • Ensure benefits packages are competitive and meet the needs of employees.


  • Employee Communication:
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure employees understand their reward and pension packages.

  • Provide advice and support to P&C and line managers on reward and pension matters.


  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of reward and pension schemes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Professional certification in HR or reward management (e.g., CIPD).

  • Experience in developing and implementing reward strategies.

  • Reward knowledge and experience in a reward or pension environment.

  • In-house pensions experience on DB & DC schemes and a strong understanding of UK occupational pensions, regulations and HMRC requirements, and knowledge of the Civil Service pension arrangements or willingness to learn in this area.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Strong partnership and collaboration skills working effectively with colleagues, trustees, and external partners
