Full Job Description

The Risk Analyst will assist the Risk Governance & Analytics Manager in ensuring that the UK Region has in place the appropriate Governance framework, Policies and procedures in place to enable decisions to be made by the right people at the right time with the right MI and in a consistently controlled manner. Additionally you will also complete activities in support of all policies owned and managed in UK Risk.,

  • Assist the Risk Governance & Analytics Manager with the production of risk reporting to Governance Committees and Senior Management and in testing of internal controls owned by UK Risk.

  • Collect data to support the production of risk reporting, in particular for the UK Risk Committee (RiCo) and Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee (ARCC)

  • Support the Risk Governance & Analytics Manager and Risk Business Partners in the implementation of the Policies owned by UK Risk

  • Administer UK and Group Policy repositories

  • Provide MI to monitor Policy renewals and issue reminders to Policy owners (UK Region and at Group level)

  • Provide Risk owners with MI when risk appetite metrics are reporting an out of appetite status and assisting Risk Business Partners with co-ordination of actions to remediate where required

  • Conduct monitoring outlined in policies and standards owned by UK Risk

  • Conduct processes to support Lowell Financial, UK and Group Shared Services to remain compliant with UK Risk owned Policies and Standards

  • Support the Risk Team with the production of meeting minutes and action logs and assist with the maintenance of Risk & Controls Self Assessments (RCSAs)

  • Assist the Risk Governance & Analytics Manager in producing Risk Profile reports, in response to Malicious Communications and providing oversight of Gifts & Hospitality / Conflicts of Interest.

    Experience in a similar position (desirable)

  • Experience of working in a financial services environment (desirable)

  • Some knowledge of risk management processes

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with an eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy

  • Effective relationship building and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent IT skills, in particular MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint

  • Capability of operating in a fast paced and constantly changing landscape

  • Excellent skills in multi-tasking and managing priorities

  • An approach that is diligent and professional and that engenders trust with others
