Risk & Compliance - Data Privacy

Acting as a trusted advisor to the firm's London office and other International offices as required in all Data privacy matters. You will report to the firm's Director of Data Privacy (New York) and work with Director of Risk of Compliance (London).
Responsibilities/Duties

• Assist with the development and review/amendment of privacy policies and notices to address GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy and other international compliance requirements.


• Assist in maintenance of a data protection addendum (DPA) template and review external DPAs, as well as Standard Contractual Clauses to allow for personal data transfers outside of the EU/UK or other relevant jurisdictions.


• Assist in the conduct of required privacy and data protection impact assessments and due diligence for new processes and vendors.


• Assist in development and maintenance of data maps to maintain a record of processing activities.


• Assist with responding to privacy-related queries from clients and other third parties.


• Assist in development of policies and procedures around personal data breach response, and assist in response activities as needed.


• Agreement review (vendor and outside counsel guidelines) for GDPR and international compliance.


• Engage with data protection authorities as needed.


• Monitor and advise on international data protection developments.


• Engage on the response to data subject requests.


• Develop and conduct privacy awareness training.

• Must be qualified lawyer.


• Ideally IAPP certification (s).


• Sound judgement.
