Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging self-starter who is keen to gain broad exposure to the Risk Management area at Investec across Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk and Operational Risk. This person will have a specific focus on analysis and preparation of materials for Rating Agencies, Regulators as well as the Executive. This role is an exciting chance to gain unique exposure to the Head of Risk Management as well as Executive directors at Investec. What will you be doing?
- Collation and process management of information for Rating Agencies and risk appetite framework.
- Accurate and attentive review of information for public disclosure (for example Rating Agency draft credit opinions, Investec results presentations, fact sheets).
- Ensuring all action items, ad hoc questions or requests for information (i.e. from Rating Agencies, and internal stakeholders etc.) are documented, followed up, resolved and appropriately filed.
- Update and maintenance of Rating Agency models of Investec with key figures to be monitored as well as maintaining historical information of these metrics.
- Keeping up to date with Rating Agency methodology and criteria for the rating of banks and providing analysis and information thereon to Executives and to Risk Management teams.
- Presenting summaries of peer key financial information, ratings and rating scores to Executives and Risk Management teams.
- Research various areas of interest as required by Executives and others for purposes of understanding risk disclosure requirements, Rating Agency requirements, peers and general banking landscape.
- Identifying opportunities to make the process of collation and presentation of information more efficient as well as delivering these efficiencies., This role offers the unique opportunity to engage and learn from different teams and individuals across the bank through set out responsibilities of this position.
