As a result of an internal promotion, we now have an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Pricing Specialist to join us and play an active part in enhancing our Pricing Technical Strategy. Working collaboratively with the Pricing Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative technical solutions to support the department in delivering pricing for a wide product range of both personal and commercial lines. This role is centred on providing technical assurance by advising the team on optimal approaches and conducting thorough reviews of their work where necessary. You will be involved in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of tests to ensure the integrity, confidence and accuracy of the risk price and to support the quality assurance process. You will also be responsible for monitoring technical pricing to ensure it is appropriately set and aligned with strategic objectives. Another key focus of the role will be on developing and maintaining the team's skills and capabilities to meet both current and future requirements. There will also be the opportunity to take the lead on project work, with an emphasis on enhancing technical outputs and improving efficiency and accuracy in processes. This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. We are seeking a confident and dynamic insurance pricing professional, experienced in determining the risk price with direct responsibility for pricing outputs. You will have prior experience running multiple streams of work simultaneously and will be comfortable applying actuarial techniques to solve complex business problems. Experience of SQL, R, Emblem and Radar is beneficial but not required. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to convey ideas clearly and effectively to a range of audiences. Your stakeholder management skills enable you to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring collaboration and trust across teams and departments. With a natural aptitude for simplifying complex concepts, you help others understand intricate details without losing sight of the bigger picture. You are comfortable challenging existing thinking constructively, encouraging innovation and promoting new approaches.
