Full Job Description
The role: Risk & Assurance Specialist The purpose of our Risk & Assurance Specialist role is to support the development and delivery of the audit and assurance framework, reporting into QHSE Manager and Risk & Assurance Leadership Team. You will play a key role in monitoring compliance in line with both CBRE, customer and legislative requirements. Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Act as a point of contact for risk, audit and assurance activities for the BT account
- Contribute to the development of the annual audit schedule to ensure it adequately provides assurance to all Compliance, QHSE, Environment, business continuity and Project risks
- Ensures compliance with policy and strategy across the account through regular audit regime and plan
- Monitor audit findings and support the account in their closure
- Report on audit finding trends for Senior Management and provide analysis to drive continual improvement across the account
- Feedback audit findings to facilitate change or improvements to current policies, processes and procedures across the account
- Use outputs of assurance activities to support in the identification and management of key business processes, risks and controls
- Actively support the management of risk and controls evaluation to ensure risks and issues are managed
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand business risks and assurance needs, and develop insight and learning
- Active participation and oversight of risk management processes and business governance to help ensure their effective implementation across the account support in raising awareness and understanding of business risks and mitigation
- Actively support and introduce controls for incident management on account & deliver toolbox talks, conduct workshops and hold knowledge calls to promote Risk & Assurance initiatives and campaigns
- Collaborate with wider QHSE, Risk & Assurance Team to ensure we are meeting regulatory, ISO and account requirements
- Support external or Group Internal Audit visits as required
Practical application of auditing - Formal qualification in management system auditing (Desirable)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Desirable)
- Understanding of risk management and controls
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Strong presentation, good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of ISO Management Standards including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001
- Project management experience (Desirable)
