Full Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied, exciting role offering the chance to make a real difference to our Council, as well as Salford as a whole. The role of Road Safety Officer will be crucial in the delivery of road safety education and training in an effort to reduce the number of people injured on the road network.
As a Road Safety Officer you will be providing quality delivery of a variety of initiatives whilst supervising the School Crossing Patrol Service.
Other key aspects of the role involve, maintaining accurate records of all work undertaken and to write such reports as may be required, management of the school crossing patrol service including undertaking HR duties such as absence management, assisting in the preparation and staffing of exhibitions and displays, issuing of publicity, materials etc.
The role requires you to liaise with schools, School Crossing Patrol's, clients, stakeholders, statutory bodies, and the general public.
