Full Job Description

We're looking for a Roadworker to join our Transportation team based in Brixworth. Within this role, you can enjoy competitive annual holiday entitlement with opportunities to buy/sell leave, a fantastic, matched pension scheme, a share in the success you help to create by investing in Kier through our Sharesave and Share Incentive Plans and even more, As a Roadworker you'll be working within the Maintenance team, supporting them in completing carriageway, footway and drainage works.

Your day to day will include:

  • Operating light plant including compressors, rollers, disc cutters, vibrating plates etc. including daily maintenance and checks

  • Assisting skilled operatives in kerbing, drainage, concrete work, flag / block paving, bricklaying, drainage works, surfacing and surface repair

  • Excavating soil, rock, asphalt, concrete using hand and powered tools

  • Hand sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, loading, unloading and general handling of materials and equipment

    Previous experience working in highways maintenance or construction

  • Relevant highways certificates a good practical understanding / knowledge
