Rota Coordinator and Ward Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Rota Coordinator to join our dedicated orthopaedic ward team at The Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing staff rotas, ensuring optimal staffing levels, and maintaining compliance with NHS policies and regulations. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of the ward and delivering high-quality patient care. The Rota Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for staff and management., Developing and maintaining rotas for various departments, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts, requests for leave, swaps and other schedule adjustments are managed.

Ensure rotas comply with relevant policies, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Act as a point of contact between staff and management for rota-related queries and issues.

Inform staff of their shifts, any changes to the rota, and other relevant updates.

Maintain accurate records of shifts, absences, and other relevant data.

Generate reports on staffing levels, shift patterns, and other metrics as required by management.

Identify and address gaps in coverage, arranging for locum or temporary staff if necessary.
