Full Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will work with in a multi disciplinary team in a collaborative manner with patients and families. They will provide comprehensive assessments and interventions which promote recovery and positive risk taking maintaining occupation at the centre of their practice.
- Provide an occupational therapy service for a diverse range of people with complex mental health needs who are referred to the service.
- To carry out occupational therapy ethical and evidence based assessment, goal setting, implementation of individual and group treatment and programs and evaluation.
- To establish the needs of individuals referred into the service and plan care with colleagues from health, social services, families and the voluntary sector.
- To represent and promote the role of occupational therapy
- To actively engage in CPD activities offerred including band 5 peer support group, team in-service training, preceptorship program, specialist rotational competencies, clinical supervision.
