Full Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join our successful joint band 6 rotation across orthopedics and outpatients MSK. You will spend 9 months on each rotation, and receive support and training across both. The band 6 MSK rotations will include Spinal, Upper Limb, Lower Limb, Amputees,Pain, alongside general outpatient and may include access to specialist services such as hands and rheumatology, with support from specialist supervisors. The Orthopaedic rotation will include elective and trauma. To contribute to the physiotherapy teamwork, learning and development and similarly, to the multidisciplinary team of which the post-holder may be part.,
- To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with a range musculoskeletal conditions presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. To provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualized treatment programme.
- To hold responsibility for own case load and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision matching to your own job plan. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences.
- Access to advice and support from a senior physiotherapist is available if required, clinical work is not routinely evaluated.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- To supervise band 5 physiotherapists and participate in their personal and professional development including In-Service-Training.
- To delegate to assistants and other staff where appropriate.
- To supervise, educate and assess the performance of physiotherapy students; this would be to a graduate standard and involve working with universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.
