An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our teams as a band 6 rotational clinical pharmacist on a progression pathway to becoming a band 7 clinical pharmacist,. As an organization and department we are committed to the development and retention of our staff, which is why we want to invest in this new progression role.
You will join a team of specialist and generalist clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants in delivering a comprehensive and efficient pharmaceutical service, aligned to the needs of patients and service users. Experience will be gained through completion of a diverse range of clinical rotations, and supplemental development tasks.
It is an exciting time to join the department as we are reviewing the pharmacy service we want to provide, and making adjustments to roles so that we can deliver an effective service built around the needs of patients and working closely with the multidisciplinary teams on the wards. This will greatly enhance the knowledge and skills of our team and improve job satisfaction.
We are looking to recruit registered pharmacists and trainee pharmacists qualifying in the summer 2024., You will have clinical responsibility for at least one ward that will complement your rotation and the objectives you will be given. Electronic prescribing is in use across all adult wards.
The rotation provides an excellent grounding to your career. Funded clinical diplomas are available after an initial period in post.You will need good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to prioritise and organise your work. We expect our pharmacists to be highly motivated and have a passion for putting the patient first.The post includes participation in the late duty, 7 day weekend/bank holiday and on-call rotas.
