Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a midwives to work in various geographical locations in East Kent. We will also be looking at establishing continuity teams and establishing an integrated midwifery model of care so the successful candidate will be expected to participate within these new models of care.

To be and active team member providing the full range of midwifery care at the same time as developing your skills in order to become an advanced midwifery practitioner.

To enhance your midwifery role by developing excellent leadership and managerial skills to ensure a dynamic and innovative approach to team building / performance.

You may be required to change your area on a temporary basis to maintain service provision and develop your practice as required. As we move forward with our Continuity of Carer teams you will be expected to join a continuity team to achieve the Trust ambition of implementing Better Births

You will be required to develop your competencies set out in the practice portfolio relating to the knowledge and skills framework for Band 6. To develop competencies in line with working towards development of band 7.

Due to the varied settings and requirements of this position it may be an essential requirement that the successful candidate must possess a full driver's license and/or have access to a vehicle that can be used for work purposes, subject to the provisions of the Equalities Act (2010).
