Full Job Description

You will carry out holistic Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions, considering the persons physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs. You will work in a variety of settings across acute and community settings including vascular ,colorectal, medicine, major trauma, IMC and stroke . You will work with the MDT to achieve patients rehabilitation goals, facilitating discharge home or to appropriate rehabilitation settings., Supporting our patients:

  • Participate in the Band 5 rotation scheme within Oldham Hospital Hospital in Oldham . Potential to rotate within community services in the future.
  • Provide autonomous assessments and interventions, for own designated caseload of patients; with support and supervision for more complex needs.
  • Maintain clinical responsibility for own caseload and that of delegated tasks.
  • Be aware of your own limitations and competency, seeking senior support when required.
  • Provide support and training for junior staff and students.
  • The service operates over seven days and as such some weekend working is required as part of the role.
