Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or existing Band 5 physiotherapist to join our site-based Band 5 Rotation scheme at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.
The current rotation scheme includes : o Specialist Medicine (includes Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal, Infectious diseases Acute Stroke Serviceso Adult Intensive Careo Neurotrauma (includes Neurosurgery / Neurology and Major trauma / Ortho-Plastics)o Mixed Surgical specialities including ring fenced orthopaedic bedso Musculoskeletal Outpatients (RLH Sports Therapy team and Mile End Hospital Community health referrals)
The ideal candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic, display a willingness to learn, and be a team player. The therapy team has a strong ethos for clinical / team development, innovative educational programmes, research and Quality improvement / audit opportunities.
The role involves being a member of the Respiratory On-call rota, as well as covering a weekend service.
The post is full time and suitable for individuals who : o Have qualified with a degree in Physiotherapyo Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered

Main duties of the job
o To work in a diverse multicultural environment and refine and develop experience across specialist physiotherapy areas and rotations in our RLH / MEH site six monthly rotationo To deliver specialised physiotherapeutic intervention to patients using highly developed skills in assessment and treatment of patients.
This includes the delivery of exercise programmes and giving advice, information and emotional support to patients and carers in a wide variety of To participate in the rotation scheme, which involves working across the Royal London Hospital and Mile End To contribute to the development of evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness during each To participate in the emergency and on call rota across the Royal London Hospital site (and as required across the wider Barts Health sites)., The full job description provides an overview of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role, and the person specification outlines the qualifications, skills, experience, and knowledge required.
Essential
- UK recognised qualification in Physiotherapy at degree level or above
- HCPC Registration
- Student placements in core areas of physiotherapy
- Experience of using research and other evidence to inform practice
- Experience of working as a qualified therapist
- NHS experience
- Experience of working in a diverse multi-cultural environment
- Experience of working under pressure
- Understanding of clinical governance
- Has an understanding of professional issues and NHS developments
- Able to demonstrate verbal and non-verbal and written communication skills
- Able to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills
- Able to demonstrate time management skills
- Able to demonstrate skills in assessment and treatment of patients
- Able to write clear, concise and legal problem orientated medical records to national standards
