Full Job Description

To work as a HCPC registered Radiographer in the plain film and fluoroscopic areas of the department.
Rotate through CT scanning, undertaking competency and sign-off.
Undertake trust cannulation training and PGD sign-off
You will work as part of a team of Radiographers that provide an Out of Hours (OOH) imaging service.
As an Autonomous Practitioner be accountable for own professional actions whilst working independently.
Adhere to all legislation relating to the diagnostic use of X-rays.
Adhere to department Local Rules and all technique protocols., Ensure that you work to the Code of Practice of the Society of Radiographers, The Health Professions Council and the Local Rules promulgated by the department management team.
Maintain an up-to-date CPD Portfolio.
Respond to periodic review of good practice through the department Clinical Governance System.
As an Autonomous Practitioner to be accountable for own professional actions whilst working independently.
Based on experience, use skills to assess a patient's condition and decide on an appropriate method to obtain the required images to facilitate the patient care plan.
Respond appropriately to daily, distressing and emotional situations.
To participate in 7-day working, the extended working day, night shifts, on-call and bank holiday rota as appropriate.
To be flexible with shift patterns in view of staffing levels and training needs.
