Full Job Description

Rotherham Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join one of their locality teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and stable team environment, where you will be responsible for managing a manageable caseload and contributing to the welfare of children and their families.,

  • Work directly with children and families under Child in Need plans, Child Protection plans, and through pre-proceedings and Court proceedings.

  • Manage an average caseload of 16.5 children, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.

  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a multi-agency approach to case management.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practice guidelines.

  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to maintain high standards of practice.

    A recognized social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.

  • Proven experience working in a child protection, Child in Need, or court proceedings setting.

  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex caseloads.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and professionals.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

    Pay Rate: £35 per hour (umbrella), depending on experience.
