Provide nationally consistent advice and guidance in the production and acceptance of business focussed renewals proposals. Manage the monitoring and improvement of the technical competence of Signalling engineers in specified delivery units.

10. Manage the arrangements for technical briefing of engineers in specified delivery units in order that the purpose, as well as the content of standards, specification, etc. is understood.

11. Review, and approve as appropriate, derogations and non-compliances to standards in compliance with the delegated authority framework. Manage the response to applications outside of own delegated authority.

12. Collate any issues of regional / national significance and liaise with the region team to develop and spread consistent best practice.
