Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of People & Wellbeing Assistant within Human Resources Division based at Hutton Headquarters. This post is temporary until 31/03/2025. The successful applicant will provide administrative support, undertake research and assist with a helpdesk facility for the People, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Portfolio. Some key responsibilities that will be required are as follows:

  • Assist in the delivery of a customer focused administrative service ensuring that the Constabulary meets all HR, Health Safety and Wellbeing priorities.
  • Deal with internal and external enquiries by telephone, correspondence or personal contact and to liaise with divisions and departments, staff associations and external organisations as required.
  • Undertake research on HR, Health, Safety and Wellbeing issues, including legislation, case law, best practice and national advice, such as the Police Staff Council, Home Office, and National Police Chiefs Council.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of administrative procedures to facilitate effective and efficient working practices.
  • Update, amend and maintain personal records, general files, accident reports and computerised systems in an appropriate manner, utilising them to deal with enquiries and comply with legislation.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of management information, across various force systems producing reports and statistics as required.
