SACT Practitioner

The post holder will support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient, effective, and patient-focused service
The post holder will practice under the supervision of an advanced practitioner within the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) service to provide patient-centred clinical care, encompassing and developing the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the department. The post holder will demonstrate expertise within the SACT service, providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers. They will have responsibility for supporting the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues. They will act as a specialised role model and leader for all members of staff and play a supportive role in the continuous development of the services within the Trust.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner working alongside other health care professionals to assess and treat patients attending the Chemotherapy Day Unit with specific conditions., We promote the wellbeing and safety of all our patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by our policy and procedures. All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give their consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal records status throughout their employment.

We are seeking an experienced nurse with proven clinical and leadership skills with a passion for working within the field of chemotherapy, you must have experience of administration of SACT, pre-treatment assessments and pre-treatment consultations
