Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent communication, administrative, and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of a team.

In this role you will support the Head of Safeguarding as well as the wider safeguarding team with administrative and secretarial duties.

You will be based a Scunthorpe General Hospital but will support colleagues at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital as required., As secretary to the Head of the Safeguarding Team the post holder is required to liaise with senior managers, organisations, health and other agencies to relay information on his/her behalf.

The post holder to demonstrate a high degree of tact, diplomacy and highly developed communication skills, exercising confidentiality at all times.

All calls are routed through the post holder who screens every call to determine which member of the team is the most appropriate to deal with the contact.

Have an advanced knowledge of and ability to use IT to produce a range of documents to a high standard using a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher.

Proactive role of providing administrative support for the Head and Named / Specialist Nurses on a day to day basis, the post holder must also manage their own workload effectively to meet all deadlines

Filing of all Child protection case conference minutes

Meeting administration includes identifying dates, co-ordinating diaries, assessing suitability, booking venues and equipment and arranging hospitality

Training administration includes identifying dates, assessing suitability, booking venues and equipment and arranging hospitality. Booking participants onto the Safeguarding Training and send out confirmation letters and course information.
