Are you passionate about safeguarding adults and making a real impact in your community? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Adults Board Manager to join the Bolton Safeguarding Adults Board (BSAB). This pivotal role will ensure the board operates at its best, safeguarding adults at risk in Bolton and showcasing the impact of our partnership activities., As the BSAB Manager, you will develop and implement the Board's strategic plan, aligning with local and national safeguarding priorities and as such, will build and maintain strong relationships with statutory and non-statutory partners, fostering a collaborative approach to safeguarding.

You will lead on statutory responsibilities, including producing the annual report, conducting safeguarding adult reviews (SARs), and overseeing quality assurance activities. You'll also need to plan and coordinate Board meetings, subgroups, and events, ensuring effective management of agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.

You'll need to lead public and partner engagement activities, promoting awareness of adult safeguarding and the role of the BSAB whilst also monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements, ensuring lessons learned are embedded in practice.

Role specifics: Degree/degree equivalent. Appropriate professional and/or management, leadership qualification or demonstrable relevant experience., Safeguarding adults is a key priority for Bolton Council and it partners. The Safeguarding Adults Board wishes to recruit an individual who has the commitment and determination to be our Board Manager. If you are passionate about the safeguarding adult's agenda, then this is the role for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work flexibly and independently with excellent programme management skills and a sound working understanding of safeguarding adult legislation and policy, as well as a good political and organisational understanding.

You should have the experience, skills and ability to implement change and best practice relating to Safeguarding Adults, as well as the experience of working within a multi-agency setting and be confident working with officers at a senior level on strategic priorities. You should also be able to evidence effective negotiation and influencing skills.

You should be able to identify and provide a level of scrutiny to the partnership and present this to the Safeguarding Adults Board. You should also be able to produce written reports, presentations and performance information to a high standard, as well as manage and co-ordinate several competing tasks and demands.
