Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you have experience of working in a social housing or similar environment with a strong understanding of safeguarding issues for both adults and children? Are you able to identify changes in legislation and policy and put them into practice?

If so, this could be the job for you. Derby Homes Limited is an arm's length management organisation (ALMO) created by Derby City Council to manage, maintain, and improve its council houses and estates.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead our organisational response to safeguarding and ensure compliance across our housing management services. The successful candidate must be passionate about keeping our colleagues, customers, and communities safe and able to demonstrate how they can work in partnership with other agencies to resolve issues.

The Safeguarding & Compliance Manager covers two key areas of the business - corporately, the role provides an operational lead on our response to Safeguarding, and within Housing Management a focus around policy compliance and training.

The role also provides a lead for a range of other important workstreams such as MHFA, DA Champions, in addition to supporting Area and ASB Managers within HM. This role is critical to our ongoing delivery and development of safeguarding practises, maintaining our strong position within the partnership space through representation at a range of partnership boards, and further developing improved policy compliance within Housing management.
