Full Job Description

The Safeguarding team have a vacancy for a coordinator to review and process the Trust's safeguarding child and adult referrals (relating to adult and child abuse), ensuring data is accurate and shared in accordance with Trust guidelines. This includes gathering further information when required and liaising with internal stakeholders. Keen to hear from those within the NHS or Education Sector for a 12-month external Secondment. You will report into the Safeguarding Lead and will coordinate delivery of feedback regarding outcomes, in accordance with the Trust's Safeguarding referrals procedure, and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across the Trust, supporting staff to deliver safe patient care and identify possible abuse.

  • To review and process the Trust's safeguarding child and adult referrals (relating to adult and child abuse), ensuring data is accurate and shared in accordance with Trust guidelines. This includes gathering further information when required and liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • To coordinate delivery of feedback regarding outcomes, in accordance with the Trust's Safeguarding referrals procedure.
  • To promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across the Trust, supporting staff to deliver safe patient care and identify possible abuse.
  • To ensure there is a timely response to child death overview panels, including sharing information regarding support services available to staff. To act as a point of contact for coordinating meetings associated with child death.
  • To manage section 42 enquiries (Care Act 2014), acting as the point of contact for local authority teams, logging the enquiry and forwarding this to the relevant manager for investigation, or resolving oneself wherever possible in order to streamline the process and ease the burden on other departments within the Trust
