Full Job Description
We're looking to recruit a Safeguarding Manager to join our Compliance team to ensure we safeguard everyone who comes in contact with WWF's work. You will oversee the implementation of our Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework, Statements of Principles and Safeguarding Policy in our work with communities internationally and here in the UK. You will ensure that we do not cause harm or risk to adults, children and young people directly through our actions, events and communications and promote a culture where we are all informed and equipped to spot - and act on - safeguarding issues and concerns in online and physical spaces.
As Safeguarding Manager, you will make sure that our activities comply with adult and child safeguarding best practice. You will lead on safeguarding governance and reporting and make sure we have robust mechanisms in place to guarantee awareness, prevention and promotion of a safe environment for adults and children. You will also provide training and coaching to increase the level of safeguarding capability in adult and child safeguarding in key departments as well as support volunteers and partners. You will investigate safeguarding incidents and concerns and make recommendations for improvements where needed too., Please note we're not responsible for the content of job ads, as they're posted by the recruiter. · Experience of working in a safeguarding position, preferably in an NGO setting.
· Knowledge of child and adult protection policies, practices and legislation across the UK and internationally, and an understanding of the differences internationally
· An understanding of HR policy and procedure as it relates to Safeguarding
· Knowledge of sector specific approaches towards safeguarding and related areas.
· Experience of designing and delivering both online and face to face training or workshops to a wide variety of audiences
· Experience of investigating safeguarding issues and responding to incidents.

This role is hybrid and you'll be required to be in the office 20% of your contracted hours. The job is based at our UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey. The Living Planet Centre is one of the greenest buildings in the UK, and you'll hot desk among trees and gardens.

The salary for this role is £43,000-47,000 pa. We also offer a full benefits and rewards package including:
