Full Job Description
The RFL is currently recruiting for a Safeguarding Officer. As part of the role, the right individual will:
- Assist with managing the safeguarding case workload to ensure the efficient and timely completion of investigations in line with the RFL Safeguarding Policy and Operational Rules.
- Gather witness statements in addition to documents from injured parties and subjects of concern regarding relevant incidents and allegations.
- Support the Safeguarding Manager by coordinating the work of the RFL Safeguarding Case Management Group, including taking meeting minutes and producing the agenda.
- Manage administrative duties of the DBS process which includes chasing emails and the issuing of Do Not Deploy notices for any noncompliance with the process.
- Work alongside the Safeguarding Manager and request consent and circumstances where the DBS risk assessment requires further detail.
- Any other general duties which may be required for the DBS process.

Remuneration: £20,830 plus company benefits. This role is full time and based in Manchester, however due to the nature of the role, travel and flexibility with hours may be required. The RFL encourages a flexible and hybrid working environment.
