Safeguarding & Wellbeing Officer - 37 hours per week 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm Friday. 40 weeks per year -, Brooklands Technical College is a further education college supporting young people and adults to take the next steps on their

Are you passionate about safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Safeguarding & Wellbeing Officer to join our SEN Department at Brooklands College., based at our Weybridge campus.

About the role:

In this vital role, as Safeguarding & Wellbeing Officer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, happiness, and
academic success of our students. Your role will also include:

  • Implement and monitor effective safeguarding policies and procedures

  • Provide support and guidance to students experiencing difficulties, including those with SEN

  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

  • Deliver training and awareness-raising sessions on safeguarding and wellbeing

  • Develop and implement action plans to address identified risks.


  • To fulfil the role of Safeguarding & Wellbeing Officer you will have

  • Experience in a safeguarding or related role

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding legislation

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Passionate about supporting young people and promoting their wellbeing

    (Term time + 4 additional weeks to be worked) Circa £26,000, Generous holiday entitlement
