Safety Assistant

We are seeking a Safety Assistant to join our team. The role involves supporting the implementation of health, safety, and environmental practices within the organisation.

Health and Safety duties include

· To be responsible for acting in a safe manner and to protect yourself and others at all times.

· To help drive safety standards in the business, utilising the framework as set by the ABSN Safety Fundamentals.

· Raise and record near misses and support with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

· Maintain an organised H&S document control system.

· Write risk assessments and complete regular reviews.

· Write SOPs and complete regular reviews.

· Complete safety internal audits.

· Complete COSHH assessments.

· Be an active member of the safety committee.

· Be an active fire marshal and first aider (training provided). Lead regular meetings with other members of these groups.

· Complete inductions with new fire marshals and first aiders.

· Manage weekly fire alarm testing.
