The vacancy is within the Safety Case Branch of SZC Design Authority. The Safety Case Production Group Lead will report to the Safety Case Branch Manager and is responsible for leading the development of various sections of the Pre-Construction Safety Report under Licence Condition 14 arrangements.

The Group Leader role requires the successful candidate to be:

- Responsible for planning and budget control for their Group;
- Responsible for overview of the technical ownership of topic areas within their team related to the SZC safety case within the SZC project;
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining links with the supply chain, other parts of the SZC project, other parts of EDF, and the regulators in all relevant matters;
- Based in Gloucester Business Park (or flexible as required) with occasional working at other SZC Project locations in the UK and France.
SZC is a replicated design from HPC so you'll need to provide influence and direction to ensure maximum benefit is realised from the reuse of the HPC design and safety case.

Sizewell C Limited (Sizewell C) is nuclear site licensed company whose business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Sizewell C was formerly under the majority ownership of the EDF Group but is currently majority owned by HM Government and operates as an independent company. EDF remains a key shareholder in Sizewell C and the business therefore maintains close links to EDF as a part of its 'nuclear family'.
As a Sizewell C employee, you may wonder why you are contacted by colleagues with an EDF email, or see the EDF logo on portals that you access and/or documentation you receive; this is because we have partnered with EDF for the provision of a number of support services whilst we complete a successful transition out of the EDF group.
