Safety & Compliance Coordinator

The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will support the Head of Safety - Marine in delivering high health and safety standards across the business. They will act as a champion of Safety providing support to all Yachts teams as required.
They will ensure that compliance training is planned, rolled out, supported, and accurately reported on in line with deadlines set by the central team.
What you will be doing:
H&S
+ Monitor Base H&S - Ensuring that all bases have up to date records, registers, and logs in place. This is to include regular travel to spot check, coach, and train to ensure compliance.
+ Manage the recording of all Employee and Customer incidents with weekly reporting to the Executive Team. (Risk Console).
+ Manage the collation of H&S stats & info for the Monthly BRM.
+ Monitor & report on completed yacht maintenance and escalating any identified issues.
+ Monitor CSQ H&S comments, escalate weekly to exec team, and follow up on specific issues with base teams.
+ Complete/Follow up/Review Risk Assessments. Ensure that identified actions have been undertaken.
+ Act as advisor and supporter for the overseas teams when they are carrying out the safety aspects of their role.
+ To manage Yachts relationship with Checkpoint (external auditing Company) and ensure that all audits are requested, completed, and followed up on.
+ Support and follow up with suppliers on issues identified in any audits, and help them ensure that those issues are addressed.
+ Monitoring Government updates of Safety Travel and Destination security issues.
+ Deputise for Head of Safety - Marine as appropriate
+ H&S Policy creation where needed.
Compliance
+ Regular reporting to Exec Team, Head of Safety - Marine & Line Managers on completion of Compliance training Modules.
+ Planning and communicating annual compliance training role out.
+ Planning and running training/coaching sessions with ops population (where needed). Training managers to coach staff through modules or running sessions with base staff.
+ Work with HR team to carry out monthly audits of employee files to ensure all compliance paperwork is stored to file.
Comms
+ Writing H&S and Compliance Communication for all areas of the business.

+ Travel Ops/H&S experience
+ Happy to travel independently to bases on a very regular basis.
+ Already hold, or willingness to work towards NEBOSH General Certificate within first 12 months.
+ Excel knowledge
