Full Job Description

Sessions: We will consider between 6-8 sessions per week We offer telephone and face-to-face GP appointments in our general GP sessions. Appointment lengths are currently 10 minutes for a GP consultation. We are currently conducting an extensive review of our appointment system. At present, we do not use a digital access tool (but we may introduce one following our review). Length of 1 session: 4 hours 10 minutes Standard Surgery length: Monday - Thursday AM: 2 hours 50 minutes clinic Mid: Team Huddle Mid: Admin & Visits (as required) PM: 2 hour clinic Fridays 8am-9am:Practice Meeting AM: 2 hour 20 minutes clinic Mid: Admin & Visits (as required) 12.45 - 13.45: Clinical Meeting PM: 2 hour clinic Duty Doctor: The Practice has a duty doctor available each day and the post holder will be required to undertake these duties on a rota basis. Admin: Salaried GP's are expected to have their own patient list (proportional based on sessions). In order to ensure safe coverage, we do
operate a GP admin cover system for absences/regular days off, which is split proportionally between the team. General Information: The post holder is expected to support the Partners of Moatfield Surgery in providing all services outlined in the GMS Core Contract and also in the aims and objectives of the Practice. The post holder is expected to support and input into the aims of the practice in areas of clinical governance, good practice, quality outcomes framework, enhanced services, practice audit, referral review and any other improvement plans as determined by the practice. Your performance in each area will be monitored and referrals may be re-routed if appropriate. The post holder is expected to maintain and keep good standards of computerised clinical records at all times including any associated paperwork. Full involvement in any practice training and ongoing requirements of our status as a paperless practice is expected.
