Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Sales Administrator to join the UK and Ireland Sales Team. Working across all of Pan Macmillan's imprints, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to work closely with books, booksellers and UK and Ireland retailers.

Your team:

You will be joining the UK and Ireland Sales team based in London - working closely with our Ireland team and our London regional manager. We work across all of Pan Macmillan's imprints, supporting retailers' needs and driving bookseller engagement.

Your role:
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, time management skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt quickly. Responsibilities will include a wide range of administrative duties for the team including account support, helping with mailings to retailers and booksellers and keeping team documents and files up to date in a timely manner. You will also support our account managers by creating presentations for a number of retailers and help with the organisation of ad-hoc events.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Creating retailer presentations for a range of accounts

  • Administration support for Ireland key accounts and the London independents

  • Sending out proofs and display materials to retailers and booksellers

  • Keeping sell-in materials up to date, including presentations, order forms and physical and digital samples, proofs and materials

  • Support and attendance at events as required.

    Excellent administration and organisational skills

  • Ability to multitask, juggle a busy workload and stay calm under pressure

  • Ability to communicate confidently

  • Effective time management and prioritisation of workload

  • Attention to detail

  • Passion for books

  • Quick to form new relationships

  • Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to react quickly required.


  • Desirable skills we'd love you to have:
  • Experience working as a bookseller or in publishing

  • An interest in the UK and Irish book market

  • A passion for reading

  • Experience with working to deadlines

  • Have used or are familiar with Google for Work (Gmail / Google applications).
