Full Job Description

The Sales Development Executive (SDE) is a frontline sales role that involves identifying new opportunities, handling inbound leads, nurturing marketing leads into sales qualified leads, and contributing to the sales pipeline. This role is primarily focused on turning marketing qualified leads into sales qualified leads. The role is office based.,

  • Create Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).

  • Handle all inbound enquiries.

  • Prioritise opportunities.

  • Proactively contact companies who have shown an interest in our products or service, carrying out thorough research.

  • Categorise potential customers, in line with the Customer Categorisation Model.

  • Work collaboratively with the New Business Development Manager providing support where required and booking appointments.

  • Send quotes to customers, and proactively following up in a timely manner.

  • Ensure all internal systems (CRM & ERP) and databases are updated timely and accurately.

  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings where attendance is required.

  • Scope of Impact

    Depending on the maturity and geographic size of their main entity the SDE role may have a defined area, a designated New Business Development Manager, or be targeted to a specific vertical market (i.e., industry type). (approximately 100 - 200 sites).

    Core Business Responsibilities
  • Ensure that you, your colleagues and any visitors conduct yourselves with due regard to the Company's Health & Safety Policy, procedures and Safe Systems of Work when on site.

  • Promote equality and diversity at all times while representing the Company.

  • Undertake any additional reasonable tasks instructed by your Manager.

  • Undertake any additional reasonable tasks instructed by a member of the Executive and Senior Management team.

  • Adhere to all Company policies.

    A proven track record in a Sales Development role.

  • A self-starter with strong time management and organisational skills.

  • Strong prioritisation skills.

  • Working knowledge off CRM systems.

  • IT literate.

  • A confident and professional telephone manner with proven experience of establishing new business relationships.

  • A proven track record of sales negotiations and closing deals.

  • Strong commercial awareness.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Desirable:
  • Previous experience in or knowledge of the health & safety industry.
