Full Job Description

The Sales Director has a significant responsibility for driving and executing as well as being the face of the organisation at local level. The Sales Director must set expectations and targets for their team and ensure each sales representative puts in place the right plans and tactics by account to meet sales objectives.
The Sales Director properly manages key accounts and also develops the capabilities of their staff to devise appropriate product plans and sales strategies to drive results within accounts. They are accountable for ensuring each sales representative is effectively trained and has developed strong expertise in product knowledge and selling techniques that are key competencies in our industry.
Lastly, being so close to the customer, individuals in these roles must raise awareness to emerging customer trends and filter that information up to other leaders in the organisation.
Essential Functions:
Fully comply with the compliance/ethic/code of conducts requirements of Corcym; ensure people are conducting business in a fair and ethical fashion. Individuals in this role interpret and enforce company policy, procedures, and business practices. The Sales Director needs to be able to manage budgets, understands the financial and operational levers and variables that affect margins, controls expenses, and ensures a sound bottom line in their areas.
Responsible for overall business, include but not limited to:
+ Sales Target: Ensures the achievement of Sales objectives respecting and implementing company strategies
+ Sales Plan and Forecast: Defines sales forecast and targets for all territories by account and provides demand planning details when requested. The Sales Director also monitors the performance of their own team and shares with them eventual sales reports showing the actual results compared with targets or previous year performance
+ Pricing: Implements the appropriate price strategies respecting the price approval policy
+ Tenders: Proposes the lots to participate and the products to be offered in addition to prices, in line with the tender process in place
+ Sales Process: Coordinates with the salesforce all the activities related to sales (economic orders, shipping and invoices) and manages consignment according to targets
+ People Management: Coaches and develops his/her team consistently with company culture and implements all the HR processes requested by the Company
+ Market Intelligence: Ensures the compliance of the sales team with the annual market survey and transfers to marketing and appropriate management all the relevant information regarding market trends, customer dynamics, competitive news in the local territories
+ Marketing Events and initiatives: Organises local events consistent with the company strategy in cooperation with marketing and provide support to the organization of broader scope events
+ Opex Budget: Manages the investments in the own territories, respecting the yearly budget that has been allocated
+ Compliance: Demonstrates unbending ethical behavior and instills a strong compliance throughout the organization by systems and walking the talk, ensuring knowledge of compliance and its company policies.

Education and Experience:
+ At least 7-8 years of experience in commercial and/or marketing functions in the medical device industry, incl. at least 3-4 years as sales representative
+ Secondary School Technical Diploma or a Degree in Technical, Scientific and Economics Disciplines
+ Medical or related degree is preferred
