Working as part of the Glaston Compressor Services brand and as part of the Atlas Copco field sales team, you'll be responsible for developing existing territories and increasing market share by selling the widest range of high-quality Compressed Air, Nitrogen, Chillers and/or vacuum equipment, in the North West region. The role:

  • Advising customers how to reduce costs, CO2 etc by recommending the best solution for their production.
  • Planning and prioritising personal sales activities and customer/prospect contract towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity
  • Undertaking proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to achieve sales
  • Supporting sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets
  • Supporting sales through undertaking site surveys and providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers
  • Maintaining regular contact with all customers especially key accounts
  • Developing and maintaining good customer relationships at all levels within the area and ensuring an excellent standard of after sales service is provided
  • Supporting sales through the effective provision of sales data, including the timely recording of visit and action reports (including lost order reports) and analysis of sales performance against budgets
  • Maintaining and developing existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Liaising with colleagues and other parts of the group to co-ordinate activities where appropriate to ensure that sales are obtained
  • Using customer and prospect contact activities, tools and systems, and update relevant information held in the CRM system
  • Attending sales meetings and ensuring all subsequent actions are undertaken
  • Adhering to health and safety policy and other requirements relating to care of equipment

Passion for the sales process and a desire to develop partnerships with our customers.
  • A technical background or qualification - although this is not essential. If you have a good sales background, positive attitude and aptitude to learn, we can teach you the rest!
  • It would be an advantage to have experience or knowledge of selling capital equipment and/or of the compressed air industry, however we will provide full training.
  • A full UK driving licence, because this is a field-based job and you will be travelling on a daily basis across your region.
  • Excellent IT skills and desire to learn new systems
